Whatever your reason for learning the Nursing Touch®, your age or occupation, you will discover a touch technique with many qualities, that is both quite simple to learn and easy to implement.

You can use this technique to relax your loved ones, assist people in the clinical and hospital sectors of palliative care, end of life care, aged care, oncology care and maternity care.

The ‘Nursing Touch®’ allows and gives permission for the deep need of everyone to be touched and to be communicated with, often without words.

Incorporating a scientific explanation of this technique, these workshops will focus on the importance of touch and the quality of the touch as the technique is learnt and practised. We will explore the idea that listening and being present are inseparable when this gentle type of touch is being incorporated into care.

As this is a tactile therapy, this course will not be delivered on-line.  We believe it’s important, as both therapists and lecturers, that we experience your ‘touch’ so we can assess and give appropriate feedback.

What to expect on the day:

  • Face-to-face training – we will also incorporate some revision of what was covered in Level one Nursing Touch.
  • Anatomy, physiology & pathologies.
  • Hours – 9am to 4pm
  • Two 10 min breaks for morning/afternoon tea and 40 mins lunch break – please bring your own food & refreshments.

Each of our days together are divided into theory and practical sessions.  Your course costs cover both Theoretical and Practical notes.  These will be electronic and downloadable from your Account on completion of enrolment and payment prior to the course.

If you would like a Level 2 Nursing Touch® Certificate, login to your course and complete the online quiz. A certificate will be generated for you to download. A mark of 100% is necessary for Level 2 and Nursing Touch completion certification – you are given 3 attempts for the quiz.
